Lisa asked me to write up a little report on our recent mission trip to Mazahua. On December 27th, 25 of us from the Wisconsin area headed out for mission Mazahua. We ranged in age from 13 to infinitum. We had a wonderful experience. We painted window frames, refinished doors, rebuilt and repainted the play ground area, and painted a couple of awesome murals on the walls. We were at Mazahua for 6 days, we worked hard, we had some great times playing basketball and singing with the ladies who work in the kitchen. We did some horse back riding with some of the men who worked at the hacienda. All in all we had a really great time. We were blessed with some wonderful weather for that time of year. It got to be about 70 during the day and 50 or so at night. This was the first time I did not need those long johns. I am always grateful for the opportunity to visit my friends and mission Mazahua and to spend time with Lisa and Norberto. I would encourage everyone to do the same. In Christ. Donna Williams |
